One of the perks of living in eastern Iowa is being close to the Mississippi River. This historic body of water is so important to Iowans, and we really don’t take it for granted. While the Dubuque Riverwalk is one of the most famous riverwalks in the country, there’s a small town upstream that has a charming, enchanting riverwalk that’s so worth a visit.

The small town of Guttenberg, Iowa is home to fewer than 2,000 people, but you’ll find one of the best riverwalks in the state here!

The Landing is a great spot to watch for the majestic bald eagles in the cooler months, or to rent a boat and enjoy the river and some fishing in the summer.
