With so many charming places to visit in the area, it’s never too hard to find a day trip to take around the Queen City that the entire family can enjoy. An attraction that combines both history and fun-filled rides, there’s a factory museum not too far from us that Buffalonians of all ages will enjoy. Bringing you only 20 minutes north of Buffalo, the small city of North Tonawanda has a rich history in carousel making that you might not have known about and has created a unique way for you to experience it all.

Located on Thompson Street, the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum has been open to the public for 35 years.

The entire museum is made up of a handful of buildings that all offer a great insight into the world of making carousels.

At the factory, you’ll find a variety of historic carousel animals that are on display.
