Driving Directions: Take the Seward Highway South, at the Seward Cut-off, bear to the right and take the Sterling Hwy. In Soldotna, bear to the right onto the Kenai Spur Highway.
This gorgeous lake is a perfect place to go swimming in Alaska. This large, clear lake is fifty feet deep and surrounded by spruce and alder forest.

Nine miles north of the little town of Nikiski, and 25 miles north of Kenai, the Stormy Lake Swimming Beach has plenty of parking and easy, direct water access for water crafts. The lake is open with a new boat launch area and remodeled facilities.

It is also known by the name ‘Three Bays Lake’ because it is three semi-separated areas, connected by channels. Check out all three by water craft or hike along the shore for a relaxing day in nature.

If it s too cold to swim, this beach park offers a variety of recreation activities including picking the berries that grow abundantly in the area and looking out for interesting birds and wildlife as you relax in the serene setting.
