There’s nothing like spending the day basking in the beauty of West Virginia, and there’s no better way to do it than by taking a hike. Not all trails are suitable for all hikers, however. Most people will never see the wondrous waterfall along this trail because it’s very strenuous.

To reach Spruce Knob via the Huckleberry Trail, you’ll hike just over six miles, and you’ll encounter some tough terrain along the way.

The path is rocky and steep, so you’ll want to make sure you’re wearing hiking boots with good tread and support. During your hike, you’ll experience elevation gains of 1,368 feet.

Plan on spending around six hours hiking up and back, and bring plenty of water. This trail is definitely a challenge.
