If you’re looking to stay longer than a day, I recommend the Prairie Inn just off the beaten path for a great stay that’s equally quiet and refreshing. You’ll be hard pressed to find somewhere more relaxing!

Norton itself is a great little farm town that was named after Capt. Orloff Norton, same as the county. It’s where one of the first recorded tornado photos was captured in 1909 by Will Keller, and it’s a town that loves celebrating its history.

One way to really get to know the place is to visit their historical museum and see firsthand how the town grew into what it is today.

For breakfast, I recommend the Town & Country Kitchen. Sometimes you get to know a town best once you’ve eaten breakfast there.
