Here in Maine, dining out for every meal is easy. There are plenty of ways to do it inexpensively and there are more than enough restaurants, seafood shacks and food trucks to try. We encourage you to hop in the car, ride your bike or even walk to the nearest locally owned spot. But, once you’ve filled your belly on the mainland you’re going to want to head to the water! This island restaurant can only be accessed by boat and it’s well worth the trip!

Unsurprisingly, you’ll find the Chebeague Island Inn on beautiful Chebeague Island located off the coast of Yarmouth.

management / TripAdvisor The Inn was originally built in the 1880s and was re-built for modern times in the 1920s.

The island, the largest of more than 200 in Casco Bay, is close enough to the mainland to be accessible, but far enough away to be a true getaway if even just for dinner.
