It’s located smack dab in the middle of Biloxi, one of the state’s largest cities, and most residents don’t even know it exists. However, since it was recently named one of the best Italian restaurants in the nation, it’s definitely worth searching for. Take a look:

As the name implies, this is the 2nd version of the eatery. The 1st was in Arab, AL. After nine years in business, the original closed and, in 2013, The Sicilian II opened in Biloxi.

Despite its obscure location, the website Cheapism named it one of the “Best Old School Italian Restaurants in America,” which isn’t too surprising once you learn the dishes are prepared using family recipes straight from Sicily.
