Located in Franklinton, Louisiana, Bogue Chitto State Park is a nature lover’s paradise.

As you may have guessed, the park is nestled up against the Bogue Chitto River.

Resembling more of a gorge than a cave, it’s created when water erodes the surface underneath the pebbles and rocks, forming delicate sandstone spires. Since they’re too fragile to walk on, boardwalks have been built so visitors can still view them.
