This unique coffee shop is located in Valley City, North Dakota, but it is known about by places far away from here. After being featured on news, radio, and websites in over 40 countries, it is internationally known.

It is known as The Vault and is located in what used to be a bank many decades ago. Today it is a self serve coffee shop, bakery, and book store, and it is entirely unmanned. No employees work at The Vault and it is run completely on an honor system. It is also a center for the arts and sells local artists’ works as well as serves as a gallery for them.

All of the items up for purchase here you pay for yourself. You can pay with cards or cash and enjoy your drink and treat in the relaxing, trusting atmosphere of the place.

Local bakers and bakeries will sell their delicious, homemade goods at The Vault to go with your coffee and a good book. All of these are freshly made and resupplied daily and each day has something a little different.

The Vault also shows movies on Fridays during certain times of the year and it has special holiday showings for classic movies. These range from old favorites to newer movies of all genres.
