Floating lanterns will grace the Scioto River and people from all walks of life will come together for a night of pure magic. The Water Lantern Festival in Columbus, Ohio will take place in September—and it’s an enchanting evening you won’t soon forget.
The Water Lantern Festival aims to celebrate life and “inspire the human spirit” with thousands of attendees, life stories and floating lanterns that light up the night.

Each attendee is encouraged to write words that spread hope, pay tribute or inspire on their lantern.

The Water Lantern Festival will come to The Scioto Mile in downtown Columbus on September 8 from 5 p.m. - 10 p.m.
