It’s been a hot summer in Minnesota this year. What better way to cool off than by taking a refreshing dip in one of the state’s many rivers? There are plenty of great spots to take your own tube and float down the river, but why not make it easy on yourself and rent a tube from one of Minnesota’s many river outfitters? One of our favorites is the southern Minnesota-basted Root River Outfitters. Here, you can get everything you need to take an all-day float trip down one of Minnesota’s prettiest rivers.

The outfitter offers many trips along the Root River, from a short tubing adventure to a five-hour canoe ride.

The all-day tubing trip is somewhere in the middle. It lasts about three hours depending on the level of the river.

The tubing trip draws crowds all summer long - especially on weekends - so you may want to get there early to ensure you get a tube.

Tube rentals for the three-hour trip are $14 for a standard tube and $17 for a tube with a backrest.
