Sometimes it feels that the longer we endure winter, the more incredible the blooms are. This year is no exception, which is why we’re excited for all the gardens to open throughout the state. While there are plenty to visit, we love this fun self-guided tour in Portland that many people may not be aware of.

The Munjoy Hill neighborhood of Portland, located next to the beautiful Eastern Promenade, is one of the quirkiest and most fun in the city.

With unique shops and delicious local restaurants, it’s great for a nice stroll heading towards the Eastern Prom.

Hosted by the Friends of the Eastern Promenade, this self-guided tour provides an opportunity to see more than just what’s in the front yard.

The tour offers a sneak peek into the private gardens of many of the homes here in this lovely seaside neighborhood.

Gardeners will meet and chat with tour goers, offering insight into how they’ve created their natural masterpieces.

And it’s fun to connect with other avid gardeners along the way.
