Dr. Belcher saw a movie called “The War Lord” in 1971 which inspired him to build his very own castle.

The attention to detail is what really makes this castle seem like it was transported from 17th century Europe.

The dungeon (yes, dungeon!) is 13 feet below the castle, and many of the rooms were fashioned after other castles. For instance, the study was fashioned after Castle Coch in Wales.
Dr. Belcher sold the castle in 1999.
