Spring and summer in Connecticut are filled with beautiful displays of captivating flowers. But it’s rare that you find a grand explosion of colorful blooms in the middle of a forest. The rhododendron trail is a short, easy hike that leads you into an enchanting rainforest-like environment and it’s right here in the Nutmeg State.

The Pachaug State Forest is the largest state forest in Connecticut. It occupies over 26,000 acres of land in six towns and is truly astonishing. It is divided into two areas: the Chapman Area and the Green Falls Area.
