Finding a good hike in Tennessee isn’t hard, what with our expansive and varied topography and long, lean stretch of land within state lines. Finding a GREAT hike, a memorable hike, that’s where there proves to be a challenge. You’ve possibly heard of Greeter Falls before, and we decided to take a deeper look at the popular hike and what makes it so beautiful and fun. Care to hike with us?

Michael Hicks - Flickr The moderate trail is fun for folks of all ages, as long as your whole group is aware of common hiking practice and expectations. Located in the Savage Gulf State Natural Area, its considered the best in the park.

J Stephen Conn - Flickr You’ll make your way down a spiral staircase in the middle of the woods (yikes!), which makes for a magical experience. If you’re bringing Fido, make sure that he or she is comfortable with the trek up and down the stairs.
