Few people know there’s an incredible treetop trail hiding in the Buckeye State that Ohio explorers and nature lovers will absolutely love. The Judith and Maynard H. Murch Canopy Walk at Holden Arboretum in Kirtland, Ohio belongs at the top of your bucket list. It offers a truly unique experience to outdoor enthusiasts and shows off a side of Ohio’s natural beauty you’ve likely never seen before.

And as an added bonus, there’s an observation tower on site that takes you up even further up—so much further that you end up above the trees. Check it out:

The Murch Canopy Walk gives visitors a one-of-a-kind perspective of the forest and the animals that live among the trees.

FILIDORO1997/Trip Advisor Tickets for the canopy walk can be purchased at the Corning Visitor Center daily until 4 p.m.

The canopy walk is a 500 ft. long elevated walkway suspended 65 ft. above the forest floor.

During the fall time, it’s an especially stunning experience with all the vibrant colors. You’ll definitely want to bring your camera.

HootieToo/Trip Advisor The canopy walk is open for the season until November 1. We recommend visiting in October for a stunning fall foliage viewing experience.

The nearby Kalberer Family Emergent Tower takes you up 120 ft. above the trees, where you can see for miles and miles.

Dustin F/Trip Advisor It’s a bit of a journey up, but the views waiting at the top are so worth it.

On a clear day, you can even see all the way to Lake Erie, especially with a good camera or pair of binoculars.

Tickets for both the canopy walk and emergent tower are $14 for adults and $6 for children ages 6 - 18. (Children 5 and younger are free.)
