If you’ve ever daydreamed about soaring above traffic during your morning commute, Uber could soon be turning those fantasies into reality.

At its recent Elevate summit, Uber revealed a plan to introduce flying vehicles to major U.S. cities as soon as 2020.

YouTube/Uber The company showcased new concept images of a service it has nicknamed UberAir. Using drone-like vehicles with four propellers and single rotor, Uber customers will be able to make a trip across town at a cruising speed for between 150 and 200 miles per hour.

YouTube/Uber The vehicles will be electric and take just five minutes to recharge. Thousands of rooftop “skyports” would provide areas for landing and liftoff, and users would simply catch an Uber from their home to the skyport in order to board the UberAir vehicle.

The best part? Uber hopes to keep pricing for its UberAir service at roughly the current cost of a normal Uber.
