Many of Oregon’s state parks offer yurts where you can stay overnight. What’s a yurt? Well, they’re the perfect compromise when you want to camp, but don’t want to sleep in a tent on the ground. They’re basically structured tents with solid floors and some modern amenities. Oregon was actually the first state to offer yurts at its parks, and once you see the little yurt village at Umpqua Lighthouse State Park, you’ll want to book one!
Umpqua Lighthouse State Park is located just six miles south of Reedsport, at Winchester Bay. The park offers plenty to see and do during your visit, and it’s also a wonderful place to spend the night.
