Travel just over two hours outside of Buffalo and you can discover one of New York’s most visited state parks.

Known for being nothing short of gorge-ous, the park sees hundreds of thousands of visitors each year who are looking to explore this beautiful slice of New York.

And while there’s much to explore amongst the parks 700 acres, it’s the 800 steps along the famous Gorge Trail that you’ll want to check out the most.

The Gorge Trail at Watkins Glen is one that will leave you in awe, taking you by a total of 19 waterfalls.

But the most exciting part about this magical trail is that several of the waterfalls you’ll actually be able to walk right behind!

As you make your way up the stone staircases you’ll get to feel the mist of these flowing falls over you, an experience you won’t find in many other state parks.
