Few things are quite as thrilling as watching a toddler meet a character from a storybook – except, perhaps, you getting to meet that character too. In just a few short weeks Thomas™ and Friends will pull into the North Carolina Transportation Museum for two consecutive weekends of thrills, and you’ll want to be there.
In addition to train rides with Thomas™ in the lead, the 60 acre site of the Transportation Museum will also be filled with exciting Thomas-related activities.

Transportation Museum Gear up for a day of fun-filled excitement that includes a ride (or rides) on a train pulled by Thomas™ or his pal Percy, two classic storybook train engines that have been igniting the imaginations of children since the book, Thomas the Tank Engine™, was published in 1946. Now, the magical train from our youth comes to life for two weekends in Spencer, NC.
Day Out with Thomas™ allows kids and their families a chance to take a 25 minute ride on the storybook train, and an opportunity to meet the real life conductor from the book, Sir Topham Hatt™.
