Welcome to Erick, Oklahoma: The Redneck Capitol of the World. See rednecks work and play in their own environment (so the sign says) in this charming little town in Oklahoma. It’s conveniently located off Route 66, so pull in the next time you’re traveling across the state and see this hilarious town full of character.
Erick is home to just over 1,000 residents, and although it’s small, it’s full of personality.

The most famous attraction in town is The Sandhills Curiosity Shop - a shop where nothing is for sale, but the experience and atmosphere keeps visitors coming back year and year.

It’s not a building that can be overlooked. The shop is located in the oldest brick building in downtown and is plastered with roadside memorabilia on the outside.

The star of the shop (and owner) is Harley Russell, also known as the “mediocre musician.” Harley will entertain you with his off-the-cuff humor and live performances when visiting the shop.

The building can accommodate up to 75 people, so if you have large groups or bus tours you should be able to squeeze in. Visitors sit around in these chairs as Harley sings and performs. He’ll entertain you with more humor than you can handle!

The shop is more like a museum than a store. It’s filled with turn-of-the-century oak furniture, an array of artwork, junk, vintage and musical instruments, and strange objects.

This iconic Route 66 attraction is filled with many photo-ops, so get those cameras ready. Even if you don’t catch Harley at the store, the outside is worth visiting.

Erick is also home to the Roger Miller Museum - a museum dedicated to the life and career of entertainer Roger Miller. Plan a visit to this redneck town and enjoy a few laughs discovering the hillbillies of Oklahoma.
