The moderately trafficked, trail leads hikers down a long flight of steep stairs into the gorge past cliffs and nearly-vertical slopes adorned with lush mountain laurel, rhododendron, and many threatened and endangered plant species.

Eventually, you will reach the main attraction: the beautiful 113-foot Yahoo Falls. Take it all in; this is said to be one of the tallest waterfalls in the state.

Do note that the waterfall is seasonal, so unless you’re visiting after a period of significant rainfall, you might only discover a trickle of water.
