Established in 1915, the California Citrus State Historic Park is an “open-air museum” with a mission to celebrate the unique history of SoCal’s citrus industry.

When you first arrive, make sure to stop by the Visitor’s Center. You can grab a map, learn fun historic tidbits about the park, and get information regarding guided tours of the citrus groves.

Guided historical tours of the citrus groves are offered every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday starting at 11 a.m. Not only are the tours fun and informative, but they are completely free to the public.

Although oranges aren’t currently in season in the citrus groves, you’ll find other varietals of citrus including lemons and grapefruit that will be in season later this fall.

If you’re not able to attend a group tour, you can show up at the Visitor’s Center between 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays and you’ll be treated to a sample of citrus freshly plucked from one of the many trees on the property.
