We have quite a few gorgeous waterfalls in Connecticut. Enders Falls, Wadsworth Falls, and Kent Falls are a few that come to mind immediately. But fewer people would think of Prydden Falls and many would have no idea where in our state to even find this beautiful gem. If you are willing to take on a bit of a challenge, this underrated waterfall hike is a super way to spend a summer afternoon.

The woodland Zoar Trail takes you through the lower block of the beautiful Paugussett State Forest in Newtown.

The hike is just over 6 miles on a looped trail, so plan to spend a few hours exploring this scenic trail.

Take the more difficult forested side of the blue blazed trail first and save the portion that borders the water for the end of the trip.
